Dr. Irum Naz, an Assistant Professor in the Communications Department at the College of Education, UDST, specializes in applied linguistics. Her academic focus centers on understanding the social dimensions of language and its connections to communities and identities. Her doctoral research investigated the interaction between monomodal and multimodal texts in second language acquisition, advocating for the incorporation of visual texts to enhance communicative skills. With nearly 20 years of teaching experience across various educational institutions, Dr. Naz has taught a diverse array of subjects, including research methodology, linguistics, and English language programs.
