Qatar hosted multiple sports events between September 2019 and February 2020. From these sports events, I collected Twitter data during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Emblem reveal, the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019. In addition to that, I collected data using the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the main event’s hashtags, at synchronous periods between September and February. This pilot exploratory research was based on the analysis of Twitter data collected using hashtags during the events indicated. A corpus of over 100,000 tweets was created, but for this research, a sample of 680 tweets, having 170 tweets per event, was analyzed. The analyses applied are Sentiment Analysis, Relevancy Analysis, and Topic-detection Analysis. Results showed that out of the sample of 680 tweets, 423 tweets (62.2%) were positive, 148 tweets (21.8%) were negative, and 109 tweets (16.0%) were neutral. Results also showed that out of the total sample of 680 tweets, 610 tweets (89.7%) were relevant, and 70 tweets (10.3%) were not relevant. As for the topics, it has been noted that the events had some similar topics and some different topics.
