The FIFA World Cup's impact on the host States' social, economic, and political aspects indicate the games' influence. The competition is held every four years under the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). It is and is open to participants from all 209 FIFA member associations. It is noteworthy that the FIFA World Cup is the leading single-event sporting contest globally, giving it a significant level of influence on society at an international level. Although the international convention stipulates that such sporting events should be dissociated with political issues, the FIFA World Cup's weight has often affected the member associations' legislation. This article explores the various ways in which sports events, focusing on the FIFA World Cup, affect legislation and multiple issues of human rights. Thus, to understand the World Cup's impact on the host nations' legislation, it is vital to explore Qatar's interactions with the FIFA regulations and statutes.
