Sport has been recognized as an effective tool for promoting social integration and has benefits for everyone, including persons with disabilities (PWDs). Despite many efforts to provide equal opportunities to PWDs in sport, various studies have shown that PWDs do not get equal opportunities as people without disabilities. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has highlighted the importance of sport as a tool for inclusion. This research examines the initiatives and efforts of Qatar to promote the inclusion of PWDs in sport, with a focus on the policies, strategies, and initiatives implemented to address inclusion. The study was conducted through documentary data analysis, and all documents were sourced online. The study highlights the progress and challenges faced in creating access and inclusion for PWDs in sport in Qatar and provides recommendations to enhance inclusion. The study can be used by policy-makers interested in detailed information about the rights, challenges, and opportunities provided to enhancing participations in sport PWDs in Qatar. Moreover, this documentary analysis sets a baseline for future research to be conducted amongst stakeholders involved in providing sport for PWDs in Qatar as well as the beneficiaries.
