<p dir="ltr">This thesis explores the dynamic interplay between globalization and the preservation of Islamic values and Arab identity within Qatar's national curriculum. Situated in the rapidly globalizing context of the 21st century, Qatar presents a unique case study due to its efforts to balance the integration of global educational standards and practices with the deep-rooted desire to preserve its rich cultural and Islamic heritage. Through a comprehensive literature review and document analysis, this research delves into the challenges and strategies Qatar employs to navigate this complex landscape.</p><p dir="ltr">In a wider context, this research contributes significantly to the underpinnings surrounding the impact of globalization on education and cultural heritage preservation in Qatar’s educational system. The impact goes beyond Qatar's borders, giving valuable lessons and perspectives for nations struggling with similar situations. By carefully examining the intricacies of Qatar's educational landscape, this thesis not only enriches academic scholarship but also empowers policymakers and educators worldwide in navigating the complex interplay between globalization and cultural preservation.</p><p dir="ltr">The findings reveal a multifaceted approach by Qatar to adapt its education system to global demands while ensuring the continuity of its cultural values. Initiatives such as the incorporation of global educational models, emphasis on English language proficiency, and integration of technology are balanced with a strong focus on Islamic education, Arabic language, and Qatari history. Despite these efforts, challenges such as the potential erosion of cultural identity and linguistic dominance persist, highlighting the ongoing struggle to maintain a cohesive identity in the face of globalization.</p><p dir="ltr">The findings shed light on the multi-faceted approaches adopted by Qatar to maintain a delicate balance between upholding global educational standards and preservation of its cultural ethos. Remarkably initiatives where assimilated of global educational paradigms, a strenuous and focused emphasis on English language proficiency, and the integration of technology into the educational framework. However, these efforts are methodically intersected by a steadfast commitment to the preservation of Islamic education, the promotion of Arabic language proficiency, and the preservation of Qatari history as a whole.</p><p dir="ltr">The thesis comprises a set of recommendations crafted to strengthen Qatar's educational journey in alignment with its cultural preservation requirements. These recommendations deal with diverse domains, including curriculum integration, language policy refinement, pedagogical innovation, and community engagement strategies. By connecting these insights, Qatar can formulate the connection between its educational aspirations and its cultural preservation goals, giving the way for a more harmonious and balanced coexistence with globalization.</p><p dir="ltr">The thesis culminates in recommendations aimed at enhancing curriculum integration, language policy, pedagogical innovations, and community engagement to further strengthen the alignment between Qatar's educational objectives and its cultural preservation goals. Ultimately, this research contributes to the broader discourse on globalization's impact on education and cultural heritage, offering insights and lessons for other nations grappling with similar issues.</p>
