This research paper attempts to explain some factors contributing to Religion's Resurgence in Modern societies, Neturei Karta Orthodox Jewish movement in Israel as a case study. A qualitative phenomenological research method is employed to give an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon under study. Instead of using religion only as a destructing tool to exercise and legitimize power, this study suggests that religion's resurgence in modern societies among Neturei Karta, in particular, and Jewish anti-Zionist movements, in general, is to oppose colonization, build and maintain strong social bond and cohesion, and legitimize the use of power to oppress people.
