With the emergence of a new technological revolution, the question of culture evolves to include different digital dynamics. Applying new models in technology to study culture becomes a necessity. Digital storytelling is one of the models bridging cultural studies with technological knowledge. This M.A. thesis investigates the challenges and opportunities of applying digital storytelling for sustainable tourism management in Oman by conducting a case study highlighting the economic and cultural indicators and the possible strategies of applying digital storytelling in tourism. It sheds light on the role of technology in cultural preservation through digital storytelling projects.
