<p dir="ltr">The study critically reviews the application, management and challenges of managed aquifer recharge (MAR) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through a survey of 142 studies. The survey reveals the objectives and methods of MAR in the region. It also shows the technical and socioeconomic challenges that significantly cause MAR failure in MENA countries.
